Mary Pierce Barnes

Graduate Student Researcher

Mary Pierce Barnes is a third-year Doctor of Audiology student at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Social Work from Appalachian State University. She is interested in all aspects of audiology, with a particular passion for working with Veterans and exploring how clinical practice and research interact to improve patient care. She is currently working on a research project examining spectrotemporal modulation sensitivity in adults. Outside of school, she enjoys going for long walks with her dog, Apollo!
